Understanding your Command Briefing

Your Command Briefing (the home page) is a real-time summary of what needs your attention: funding deadlines approaching, capital needs with an unfunded gap, and department-profile information that's missing.

Where it comes from

Nothing on the Command Briefing is invented or estimated -- every item is generated from your department's own actual data: your documented capital needs, your funding matches, and your apparatus and equipment records.

The header badge

The small number next to the alert icon in the top navigation is the same underlying issue count as the Command Briefing's own attention section -- they're computed from the same detectors, so they can never disagree. Clicking it opens a dropdown with every current issue and a direct link to resolve it.

An empty Command Briefing ("You're all caught up") is a real, good state -- it means nothing currently needs your attention, not that the feature isn't working.
