Setting up your department profile

Your department profile (Department Profile in the sidebar) is the foundation everything else in Capital Command builds on -- your department type (career, volunteer, or combination), population served, and the basic facts that funding matching and ISO/PPC preparedness both read from.

Why this matters first

Funding Intelligence checks each opportunity's eligibility criteria against your department's real profile. An incomplete profile doesn't block you from using Capital Command, but it does mean some matches may show missing information you'll need to fill in before applying.

What to do

• Fill in your department type and population served on the Department Profile page.
• Add your primary contact information -- this is what shows on reports you generate for your board or council.
• Come back and update it as things change. Nothing here is locked in.

Once your profile is in place, the next step is usually documenting your first capital need.
